Overview

However a new election can be called for any position at any Conclave session using a Declaration of Candidacy. If a declaration is raised, there is no debate; rather the civil service invites candidates for the position to put themselves forward and then each is given an opportunity to present their case to the Conclave.
Those present are able to vote for the incumbent or any candidates who put themselves forward. Magicians can also vote for "none of the above" if they wish the title to become or remain vacant.
The Throne has the power to raise a Declaration of Candidacy each summit.

Resolution
- The winning candidate has the option to accept the Imperial title at the end of the Conclave session
If the vote results in a new title holder, the chosen candidate assumes all the responsibilities and powers of the title at the end of the Conclave session. It is the responsibility of the previous holder of the title to ensure that all regalia passes to the new title holder speedily and with the minimum of fuss.
Every Imperial title appointed by Declaration of Candidacy has tenure; they remain in position until they die, resign the title, or are replaced by a new declaration. The Constitution states that the Conclave "shall be guided by fraternities of magicians under the general aegis of the Senate, and without interference from the Synod." As a result it is not possible for the Synod to revoke an Imperial title appointed by the Conclave.
Titles appointed by Candidacy
- Arcane Architect - can commission sinecures and other structures that produce crystal mana or vis
- Arcane Envoy - responsible for ensuring that acts endorsed by Conclave are properly considered and protected
- Archmage - one for each realm; deals with the magic and entities of that realm
- Astral Arcanist - support the astronomancers of the Empire
- Bursar of the Conclave - helps the Conclave acquire resources; can purchase crystal mana
- Custodian of the Lost - receives 108 rings each season
- Dean of the Lyceum - oversees the Empire's premiere college of magic
- Gloaming Sentinel - receives a bounty of iridescent gloaming each season
- Imperial Censor - responsible for safeguarding the Empire from malign magic
- Imperial Magus - advises the Senate on matters of Conclave and vice versa
- Imperial Necromancer - responsible for the use of the Imperial regio for the casting of Whispers through the Black Gate
- Imperial Seer - coordinates the use of divination magic
- Keeper of the Cox - receives a bounty of golden apples each season
- Master of Ice and Darkness - oversees the Empire's premiere college of Summer magic
- Master of the Koboldi - guides the koboldi of Adamant and represents the eternal to the Empire
- Penumbral Watcher - receives several unique items related to Night magic and espionage
- Scholar of Kragg's Hollow - receives a bounty of mana crystals each season
- Shadowed Torchbearer - responsible for fanning the flames of passion in the Empire through whatever means are available (but especially magic)
- Tender of the Phoenix Flame - receives a bounty of mana crystals each season, and if held by Dawnish enchanter has access to a ministry
- Voice of the Horizons - advises the Conclave and ambassadors on disseminating ritual texts
- Watcher of the Wheel - receives a bounty of vis each season
- Witness of Conclave - responsible for identifying sorcerers, and those who should no longer be sorcerers
