Arcane Envoy

Overview

The Arcane Envoy is an Imperial Title appointed by the Conclave. It was originally created during the Winter Solstice 385YE but was the subject of an administrative motion to amend its election method during the Spring Equinox 386YE. The Arcane Envoy serves as part of the Conclave to facilitate the proper endorsement of works of magic and agreements with eternals.

Responsibilities

The Arcane Envoy is responsible for ensuring that acts endorsed by the Conclave are properly considered and protected against throughout means both in and out of the Imperial Conclave.

Powers

Endorsement

The Arcane Envoy is empowered to raise a single Declaration of Endorsement each summit to the agenda for debate during a Conclave session. The Civil Service will provide the Arcane Envoy with a single writ - to submit their declaration to the Conclave agenda they should complete the writ and hand it to the office of the Prefect of the Conclave at least one hour before the Conclave session begins.

Unlike a grandmaster, the Arcane Envoy is personally responsible for any presentation. While a proxy may be appointed to deliver the presentation, their declaration is recorded as having come from the Arcane Envoy.

Appointment

The appointment, replacement, or removal of the Arcane Envoy is made by the Declaration of Candidacy as part of a Conclave session. The Arcane Envoy serves until they are replaced by another magician using the Declaration of Candidacy. As a title in the Conclave, they cannot be revoked.
