Cousins,

I come before you shining with Pride at the accomplishments of our Military Council. In just a few years we have added three new territories to the Imperial Hearth, and provided the light of virtue to countless lost Souls yet to find The Way in Ossium, The Barrens, and most recently Mareave.

It is in these lands and in your homes that the Empire lives, where it breathes and where it does its works of virtue. Every corner of the world that an Imperial citizen calls their own is not only a triumph in the spreading of The Way and a beacon of the greatest civilization in the world, but it is yours. It is a new place for you to rest your head, to raise your family and to find your own piece of Prosperity. These lands, claimed,  reclaimed and those yet to be reclaimed come at the cost of imperial lives. It is our duty to those we have lost to put them to good use. To live well in them, to devote them to virtue. Our hero's memory exists in the bright flicker of our hearths, the joy of our citizens and the new and better world they will leave the labyrinth to find.

Our land is one of the most valuable assets we have. We must not take it for granted, and we cannot afford to sell it cheaply.

Soldiers of every Imperial nation have fought, suffered and died to claim our seat in the world and protect our homes. Is this forgotten by those who curse their neighbours’ territories over political disputes or a desire for vengeance?

I see the veneration of those who would maliciously curse their imperial siblings and it sickens me. I will speak in no uncertain terms: Anyone who curses an imperial territory with the intent to bring harm to our citizens is no friend to this empire and should be given the sack and sword. I applaud those in Anvil who are leading the way in finding a better path. If it is heroes of Marcher and Urizeni loyalty that you seek, look no further than them. The Empire sees their works and is inspired to do better as a result.

Last season, I asked you to look to your homes for those that most needed aid. This season, I ask you to take upon an even more Ambitious goal, the Legacy of the First Empress. It was by her revelation that we were mandated to see all humans as our fellows to be raised up to transcend. Three hundred years later, the Unshackled showed us that the way also belongs to the Orcs. Most recently, our Synod has expanded Doctrine and heightened our cause to all sentient peoples. All have been deemed worthy to have shared our spiritual Prosperity.

Now, we face this four hundred year old challenge: Let no corner of our Empire be anything less than a shining example of Prosperity.

Inextricable. Indefatigable. Inevitable.

Overview

Empreror Vesna has used their power to address the Empire to send a personal message to all Imperial citizens. As with the coronation address, the civil service has ensured the message is heard by citizens across the Empire and beyond.

Significance

The Throne has the power to nominate a single Imperial citizen who can deliver a message to the people of the Empire each summit. It is common practice for The Throne to use this power themselves, when they wish to speak to all their people about important matters.
