GOD 2024 E3 specials

This page lists things that are likely to affect GOD crew, because they're special for this event and change how we normally do things.

This doesn't try to cover everything in the Winds of Fortune: sometimes player ask for information about conjunctions, or about how certain titles or opportunities work. They're things we might be able to help with, but they're not covered here because they don't fundamentally change how GOD processes work.

General event information

This is the Summer Equinox 386YE. This event, dusk is 20:30–21:30. Bows and crossbows cannot be used in Anvil after 21:30, and cannot be used on quests that start after 21:30.

• Shining like fire: Shimmering Echoes: Any mine that was enchanted with Revelation of the Jewel's Sparkling Heart during 2023 E4 will provide a single deepstone each event throughout 2024 in addition to other benefits. Green iron = warstones, weltsilver = bloodstones, tempest jade = spellstones, orichalcum = heartstones. If someone thinks they should have one, try to find out if they had that ritual cast on them at 2023 E4; if investigating that doesn't explain what's going on, escalate.

Resource production and character income

• Broken Sword: Serpent's Curse: Urizeni congregations will be getting one fewer liao this event.
• Say her name: Cold Winters: Anyone with a resource in Sermersuaq will get an extra 22 rings of income this season.
• Below the thunders: Game information: The Storms:
  • Fleets based in Madruga are subject to a penalty of two ranks.
  • Farms and businesses in Madruga have their income reduced by 72 rings.
• 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Bishops and Navigators: congregations based in Tassato, Sarvos, Necropolis, Redoubt and Karsk receive an extra 18 rings income.
• 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Cold Winters: congregations based in Tassato, Sarvos, Necropolis, Redoubt and Karsk receive an extra 18 rings income.
• 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Riding it Out:
  • Farms in Temeschwar receive an extra 18 rings of income.
  • Military units in Temeshwar receive an extra 18 rings of income if they take the "paid work" action.
• 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Unblinking Eyes: characters with congregations who preach Vigilance receive an extra dose of liao.
• Broken Sword: Serpent's Curse: Urizeni congregations will be getting one fewer dose of liao.
• 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Dho'uala's Tithe: Fleets from Dawn, Varushka and Holberg suffer a one rank penalty to their production.
• 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Feast and Frost:
  • Mana sites in the Brass Coast produce one fewer mana crystal.
  • Herb gardens in the Brass Coast receive three fewer drams of True Vervain.
• Imperial Guerdon (money shared between fleet and military unit personal resources who support specified Imperial fleets and armies):
  • The guerdon has dropped from 350 thrones to 150 thrones this event; there is significantly less money to go around, so players may receive less than they would normally expect.
  • 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Imperial Guerdon: The guerdon is split between characters supporting Valiant Pegasus and the Wolves of War.

Synod votes

• Broken Sword: Serpent's Curse: Urizeni congregations will be getting two fewer votes this event.
• Part of this together: Look to the Way: Priests with congregations who preach to the Way will get two extra Synod votes this event.
• * 386YE Summer Solstice interlude: Unblinking Eyes: characters with congregations who preach Vigilance receive two extra Synod votes.

Wounds

• Last rays of the sun#Participation: Miaren and Hahnmark: Some players could email and request traumatic wounds from Plot. If someone wants a wound and thinks they should be eligible, we'll need to check with Plot if this is something we can provide.
