Crewing an event is often a physically demanding experience, and staying well fed is important for continued well-being and endurance.

Meal tickets

Meal ticket booklets are obtained from your team leader or from GOD - you should receive an e-mail a few days before the event telling you where yours will be. Booklets contain seven tickets (if you arrive on or after Friday), or nine tickets (if you arrive on Thursday). Meal tickets are for crew only - please look after them, and don't give them away (or sell them!).

The list of caterers who accept meal tickets is printed on each ticket. Each voucher can be exchanged for a basic meal (if you want the super triple deluxe sharing platter for five, you will need to pay real money for it!).

Each booklet also contains one drink ticket. You can exchange this for a single alcoholic drink at the Forge (the PD bar). Soft drinks are freely available for crew from the Forge throughout the event. Just go to the bar, show them your crew meal tickets and you will get free soft drinks.

Crew Welfare

The crew welfare hut is usually located between GOD and Monster.

Drinks are always available from the crew hut. There is a hot water dispenser, a variety of tea/coffee/hot chocolate (including decaf), and a range of soft drinks and bottled water.

Food is always available from the crew hut - both snacks and ingredients/components to make yourself something more substantial. At lunchtime, crew welfare (the team) lay out sandwich dressings in the square tent next door to the hut; at other times you'll need to go through the fridges in the hut yourself.

Site set-up

Most of the on-site caterers do not offer catering before Thursday evening, when the crew meal tickets become valid. If you are on-site earlier to help with set-up, food is available from crew welfare.
