Assault		The accused was taunted by Zachary of Enlightenment Spire. He retorted by cleaving Zachary in the torso.		Ezekiel of Adina’s Charge plead guilty with clemency plead on the grounds of loyalty by Josephineos of Adina’s Charge.		Guilty. Fined six crowns.
Impersonating a militia officer, attempted assault		The accused used an invalid militia sash to impersonate a militia officer and infiltrate the security cordon around visiting Grendel envoys. In Winter 383 he had been convicted for impersonating a militia officer, assault and theft when he led an attack on the Grendel. It was the view of the Court that his intent was to attack and rob the Grendel. He was identified as being the culprit in multiple other reports of militia impersonation. He claimed that he was forced to commit his crimes by others but he then refused to name them or otherwise cooperate.		Ban Shattersong of Navarr plead guilty with clemency plead by Silk Splitterspear on the grounds that he was testing the vigilance of the militia.		Guilty. Death. The severe punishment was due to the convict’s multiple repeat offences, his contempt for the judicial process and his lies when questioned.
Contempt of Court		In Winter 383 at Anvil the accused gave an order to invest his army ‘The Bounders’ at Whittle and, among other things, prevent non-marcher magistrates and militia from enacting the trials ordered by the Synod for heresy and blasphemy. In doing so he impeded the proper operation of the legal process. The magistrate was forced to conscript many of the Bounders as there were insufficient militia available fitting Black Jack’s criteria.		General Ciaphas "Black Jack" Decker plead guilty. Clemency was plead by Sam of The Mourn on the grounds of vigilance.		Guilty. Fined eighteen thrones.
Assault and attempted mayhem (and encouraging thereof)		The first accused assaulted a mountebank known as ‘Mockingbird’ and attempted to cut out their tongue. Concerned citizens nearby prevented this. The victim left Anvil before they could be questioned. The first accused claimed that the victim cheated them in a card game in a Navarr wayhouse two weeks before the winter summit 383. When the accused called out the cheat the wayhouse returned their money but the victim then cursed Altam so that they were unable to communicate. The curse was eventually removed and Altam was advised by Chikoran at the Faraden embassy that they should seek vengeance against Mockingbird by cutting out their tongue.		Seeker Altam Baatan and their Priest Chikoran, both of Faraden, plead guilty with no clemency.		Guilty. Fined five thrones.
Theft		The accused stole a bowl of change from the Printers Guild. When caught they confessed to their crime but were unable to return the stolen funds (estimated by them to be about two crowns) as they had already been spent.		Donotevaly de Temeschwar and Journabo de Temeschwar plead guilty with no clemency.		Guilty. Fined two thrones (one throne of which was returned as compensation to the victims).

Treason (Dealing with an eternal under enmity)		The accused was investigated after warning the Conclave that he had sacrificed his family for winter power. This was a legally and factually complex case involving identity evidence, night magic that can transfer memories, a tent of skin and bone made from the accused’s family members, Sydanjaa and the eternal Blood on the snow. Ultimately, the court determined that the accused had most likely effected a deal with Blood on the snow many years ago. The court accepts that they did not realise who they were dealing with and that the exact circumstances were ambiguous and so chose to be lenient.		Talvekani of the Circle of Zulgan-Tash plead not guilty.		Guilty. Fined twenty five thrones less a deduction of two thrones for expenses incurred.
