Urizen Lore
This ritual is part of Urizen lore rather than Imperial Lore. Any Urizen character with the appropriate lore can master or perform this ritual. A character from another nation who mastered the ritual before it became part of Urizen lore may still perform it, but does so under the usual rules for performing a ritual learned from a ritual text.
Performing the Ritual
Performing this ritual takes at least 2 minutes of roleplaying. This ritual targets a mine. The character who controls the target personal resource must be present throughout.
Performing this ritual requires a number of rings of ilium equal to the level the mine will be upgraded to.
This ritual is an enchantment. A target may only be under one enchantment effect at a time.
Effects
This ritual enchants a mine. It requires a number rings of ilium equal to the level the mine will be upgraded to (one more than the current rank of the mine). When the ritual is complete the ilium is consumed and over the next few weeks the power of the mine is increased - it is permanently upgraded one level.
The enchantment does not prevent a character from upgrading their mine during downtime using the normal rules.
The owner of the mine experiences a roleplaying effect while their mine is enchanted:they feel an urge to uncover secrets and delve into the real motivations behind events. It is easy to become caught up in conspiratorial thinking, seeking complicated explanations for even the most mundane event.
The effect lasts until the start of the next Profound Decisions Empire event.
