Overview
An icon is a magic item designed to be held in the hands that is used by a character with the dedication skill. The phys rep for an icon must be a physrep of a piece of religious imagery appropriate to the Way - ideally including an image of a paragon or exemplar. There is no minimum size for the phys-rep but they must be wielded to be user. That is, they must be held in one hand that is not being used to hold anything else for as long as it takes to use them. An icon may not be used as a weapon or implement, even if they are weapon safe.
Other Icons
There are occasional rumours of icons that allow one to perform ceremonies with the power of a malign spirits, but the truth of their existence and how they might be manufactured is unknown by Imperial artisans. .
