Overview

During the Summer Solstice 383YE Summit, the Imperial Synod raised TBC judgements.

Change of doctrine

No change of doctrine was proposed during the Summer Solstice summit.

Veto

The veto was not sought during the Summer Solstice 383YE.

Statement of principle

The following statements of principle were presented to the assemblies of the Imperial Synod. TBC of these statements achieved a Greater Majority, meaning they will be distributed to appropriate assemblies.

Judgement TBC

  • Assembly: TBC
  • Raised By: TBC
  • Judgement: TBC
  • Outcome: TBC (TBC - TBC)

Mandate

The following mandates were passed during the Summer Solstice. Where there are competing mandates, the one that passes with the largest margin is successful and all other competing mandates are considered to have failed.

Judgement 4

  • Assembly: Highguard National
  • Raised By: Ain of the Shattered Tower
  • Judgement: A virtuous life leads the faithful to further righteous action but vile behaviour spreads just as easily if not checked. Blasphemy, idolatry, and heresy have been allowed to spread unchecked through the Empire for too long. We send Vashti of the Shattered Tower with 50 doses of liao to commit every citizen in Highguard to the struggle to eradicate the seeds of corruption from the Empire before they can flourish.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (560 - 14). Enacted. The current reduction in attendance in Highborn congregations will cease; for the coming year statements of principle in the Highborn Assembly that do not directly address matters of orthodoxy and false beliefs in the Empire will be significantly less likely to result in a mandate.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 5

  • Assembly: Loyalty Virtue
  • Raised By: Anastasiya Volkov
  • Judgement: We urge pilgrims to know their heart and what commands its devotion above all else. We send Anastasiya Volkov with 75 doses of liao to warn pilgrims against those who seek to compel their loyalty and urge them to keep faith with those they are loyal to, whatever it takes.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (233- 18). Enacted. Has far-reaching implications for the Synod and the Loyalty assembly.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 6

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Kaspar Yakovitch von Holberg
  • Judgement: The Sand Fishers are entirely without Ambition, Courage or Pride. They lack the strength of character the virtues provide, they will never prosper without them. We send Kaspar Yakovitch von Holberg with 25 doses of liao to teach the Sand Fishers of Misericorde the Seven Virtues.
  • Outcome: Upheld (1299- 72). Enacted. Among other things, the benefits provided by the covered market to businesses that diversified would be permanently reduced to two random herbs per diversification. Any future benefits that might be gained by the people of the Holberg as a result of the presence of the Sand Fishers could potentially be less beneficial to the League, and would certainly be more expensive to capitalise on.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 7

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Ophelia Sanguineo Rezia di Tassato
  • Judgement: The essence of Dead Reckoning is an embodiment of prosperity, a system to ensure that people get the just rewards for their labours. We send Ophelia Sanguineo Rezia di Tassato with 50 doses of liao to encourage League citizens to remember that it is virtuous to despise the thieving bandit, the lazy wastrel, the grasping miser, and those who take without giving.
  • Outcome: Upheld (1247- 140). Enacted. The Synod agrees that the practice of Dead Reckoning is not against doctrine. The current penalty affecting congregations in that nation would end.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 9

  • Assembly: League National
  • Raised By: Liselotte von Holberg
  • Judgement: The Sand Fishers are broken, they survived under the Druj, but now they are foreigners living in the Empire. It is our duty to show them that they can be more. We send Leonara von Holberg with 50 doses of liao to urge every Citizen of Holberg to do what they can to support them.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (214 - 0). Enacted. Every congregation, farm, business, herb garden, forest, mine, mana site, and fleet in Holberg will suffer a one rank penalty to its production following the Summer Solstice. This penalty will last until the start of the Winter Solstice 383YE. The Sand Fishers would gain significantly from this mandate - the support of their immediate neighbours in Holberg would further cement good relations between the new inhabitants of Misericorde and the people of the city.

Judgement 11

  • Assembly: Wintermark National
  • Raised By: Rafe
  • Judgement: The Wintermark National Assembly applaud the cunning and guile of every brave Wintermark hero taking part in the raid on Ikka's Tears. Let all look to those who partake of the raid as exemplars of heroism. We send Rafe with 50 doses of liao to support the scops and the stormcrows in lauding the boldness of those involved
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (274 - 10). Enacted. Every Wintermark military unit that takes part in the expedition to Pride of Ikka's Tears will receive a boost in courage and morale equivalent to two additional ranks for the next two seasons.

Judgement 13

  • Assembly: Imperial Orc National
  • Raised By: Skywise Gralka
  • Judgement: The Sand Fishers are broken, they embrace oblivion in the Howling Abyss. It is our duty to show them that they can be more. We send Skywise Gralka with 50 doses of liao to urge every Imperial Orc to support them with the fruits of our prosperous endeavour and, upon delivery, detail its value in Worth that shall carry us beyond the Abyss.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (121 - 0, closed early). Not Enacted. No liao was provided by the named priest.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 27

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Maximillian
  • Judgement: The Axou have turned their back on slavery. The General Assembly urges every Imperial citizen to support the change we wish to see in the world by looking for new trading possibilities with the Axos. We send Tarquinius Ankarien with (amount) doses of liao to urge Imperial citizens to engage with the Axou traders and look for new opportunities to enrich us both by enhancing trade between us.
  • Outcome: Upheld (1333 - 10). Enacted. Inspires people in every nation in the Empire leading to at least three opportunities to create new wealth through improved trade next season.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 28

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Meredith Nighthaven
  • Judgement: The essence of the Great Dance is the belief that each person must find the time and the place where they can become their most virtuous self. It is a practical way to help people become more virtuous and we send Madog Exiles-End with 50 doses of liao to confirm to Navarr citizens that there is nothing in the Great Dance that is incompatible with the Way.
  • Outcome: Upheld (1278 - 97). Enacted. The Synod agrees that the philosophy of the Great Dance is not against doctrine. The current penalty affecting congregations in that nation would end.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 30

  • Assembly: Dawn National
  • Raised By: Mael Donjeon of House Remys
  • Judgement: The Highborn have come to Dawn to show us the Highborn Way in their words and deeds. We should rise to the challenge and send our best troubadours to teach them about Dawn. We send Mael Donjeon of House Remys with 50 doses of liao to urge every troubadour to travel to Highguard and teach them about glory and love.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (100 - 0). Enacted. Dawnish priests will travel through Highguard singing tales of adventure, of romance, of love and glory. This presents some significant potential for making the current situation worse.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 34

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Atushah i Fijadoz i Erigo
  • Judgement: The doctrine of the Way is not diminished by the parody of the Broken Wheel, precisely because it is a parody. What matters to the faithful is the beliefs people hold in the heart, not the practical jokes they play on their friends. We send Atushah i Fijadoz i Erigo with 50 doses of liao to reassure the Freeborn that there is no need for concern about the feast
  • Outcome: Not Upheld - Withdrawn (604 - 102). Withdrawn at the request of the raising priest.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 47

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Brother Hugh
  • Judgement: Neither the practice of shriving nor the belief that humans can be reborn in the bodies of trees or animals are directly contradicted by any part of the Doctrines of the Faith. We send Brother Hugh with 50 doses of liao to reassure Marcher citizens that their traditional customs and beliefs are an acceptable expression of the Way.
  • Outcome: Upheld (741 - 477). Encated. The Synod agrees that the practice of shriving, and the belief that the soul can reincarnate as trees or animals is not against doctrine. The current penalty affecting congregations in that nation will end.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 50

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Constanza i Kalamar i Guerra

We send Father Drakov, Tender of the Hearth with 50 doses of liao to remind every Varushkan that humans are the greatest of all beings in creation.
  • Outcome: Upheld (1234- 80). Enacted. The Synod agrees that making bargains with Sovereigns and eternals is not against doctrine. The current penalty affecting congregations in that nation will end.
  • Notes: The opportunity is detailed here

Judgement 71

  • Assembly: General
