Murder		The accused, who was new to Anvil, executed a fellow member of his striding, Caffron Streamwalker, during a skirmish in Winter 382. The victim was injured and screaming that everyone was going to die. The accused claimed the victim was harming morale and carried out a so-called “mercy killing”. Note: This case was reviewed and the sentence judged to be inadequate as this was plain murder- “mercy” did not enter into it. Any future cases of this nature will not be dealt with so lightly.		Lizarath Streamwalker plead guilty with clemency plead by Jokell Streamwalker		Guilty. Fined one throne.
Aiding and abetting the murder of Bessie the Bard and attempting to pervert the course of justice		This case relates to the murder of Bessie the Bard (see report for Winter 382 for further detail) by the Hallowed Order, a group dedicated to the assassination of those they deemed to be heretics. While the actual murder was carried out by Rune (who died before he could be brought to trial) he had a number of accomplices in the Hallowed Order, The accused was with Rune in the immediate aftermath of the murder and furthermore his initial account of events changed significantly by the time of trial. Given he was also a member of the same murderous conspiracy it was judged that he had either encouraged, or helped in the perpetration of this murder.		Orren of House De Rondell plead not guilty to both charges.		Not guilty of attempting to pervert the course of justice. Guilty of murder. Executed.
Mass murder of Surrani Templars near the Feroz border		The accused used the sentinel gate to travel to the Feroz and Iron Confederacy border to assist Jean Valois and his group to escape from the Iron Confederacy (they having converted to The Way). A group of ten templars sent after Valois also found them, and after a brief stand off, the citizens engaged the templars in combat. According to the accounts of the Iron Confederacy officials nine of the templars were killed. At trial two templar survivors were presented by High Templar De Rolo, who could not explain the discrepancy and suggested his masters were incompetent. Both Rolo and the second survivor’s testimony was judged to be untruthful. Brother Jaylus (a healer) did not take part in the engagement.		Brother Jaylus, Mordecai, Animayus, Tobias, Iscah, Gideon, and Nathaniel of Highguard, and Alan Fletcher of Dawn. All plead guilty except for Brother Jaylus who plead not guilty.Clemency pleas were made on the grounds of loyalty in the case of Mordecai and courage for the rest.		Brother Jaylis was found not guilty.Mordecai, Animayus, Tobias, Iscah, Gideon, and Nathaniel of Highguard, and Alan Fletcher of Dawn were fined ninety thrones and branded with a cross upon their cheek.
Subverting the agencies of the State		The accused was the proxy senator for Kallavesa at the Autumn 382 summit. He seconded two motions in contravention of senate procedure. He claimed that this was due to a mistake, and a misunderstanding of the law, The Court recognised that he fully cooperated with the investigation and was inclined to leniency on this occasion.		Tanesh of Dunneth Hall, Wintermark plead guilty with no clemency.		Guilty. A fine of six mana (this was sent in advance of the trial) and two thrones.
Assault		The accused assaulted Medea Ruth while she was ranting hatred against orcs outside the Imperial Orc camp.		Ida Isjant plead guilty with clemency plead by Medea Ruth on the grounds of courage.		Guilty. Fined two crowns.
Subverting the agencies of the State		The accused discharged an Imperial Wayleave while holding the imperial title “Collector of Prosperity’s Boon”. He claimed that he did not realise that a Wayleave was an imperial title. The court accepted this was an honest mistake and chose to be very lenient.		Tyr Brennan plead guilty with no clemency.		Guilty. No punishment levied.
