There seems to be neither rhyme nor rhythm to which precious gem each captain has returned with.

			As with any gemstone, they are ultimately worth what anyone will pay for them - right now, the market is red-hot with buyers falling over themselves to acquire the gems. Prices have ultimately found a similar level for the different gems as people observe the offers that others are making and raise their own bids to match. This rush won't last, so those looking to get the best price for them will have to sell them at the summit; there won't be buyers outside Anvil after this season.

			There are six buyers in total. A solitary gem is worth one throne if delivered to the Lady of the Counting House alone. A set of gems, either a set of the same colour or a set of different colours, is worth considerably more.

			Genia Bourné di Sarvos has a commission for a beautiful new tiara for a young but wealthy Jarmish prince. Their family colours are green, so she is eager to get as many brilliant sapphires as possible. She is offering to pay a throne for each sapphire, but is eager to corner the market and so, like other buyers, she will pay considerably more for sets of the precious gems.

			A wealth Varushkan boyar is looking to acquire as many Azure Suns as possible. There are rumours that this boyar has made arrangements with the [[Night Below]] and is planning to sacrifice the gems to permanently enrich the mines of his vale. Tathenon the Gyre, one of the [[Thule lore\|Thule Dragons]] has offered to buy all the Fire Rubies the Empire has - though what purpose they might have for these strangely warm gems is unknown.

			An agent of [[Azoth\|the Crucible]] has negotiated directly with the City of Lead and Gold on behalf of their eternal patron. The serpent is keen to acquire Diamond Eyes and has provided their servant with substantial amounts of gold to pay for them. A representative of one of the wealthy Skouran minining unions wishes to buy Night Lights, ideally all of them if they can.

			All of which would seem quite straightforward, but the Prince of the Argent Tontine has their own plans for these gems. The wealthiest of all the eternals of the Autumn realm, a being said to be obsessed with greed, they offer one of the highest rates of any buyer - but only for sets of different gems - to sell to Callidus, a magician would have to ensure that each gem in the set was different.
