Sigríður heard the splash this time, then something shook the boat. "We should head home now, you grab the oars and I'll keep watch. Best not to leave it to chance, aye?" The short draughir pulled her knife and cut free the nets.

Helgir moved quickly to take their seat, picking up both oars and beginning with quick, strong strokes to bring them back to shore.

One of the largest group of husks – around a dozen – are spotted making their way towards Reed's Roost, [[Bregasland#North Fens|North Fens]]. A few beaters from Greywater, originally on the lookout for Jotun raiders, have been tracking them and have sent out word that they will reach the Roost a few days after the Winter Solstice.

The folk of the Roost have made ready to leave, but the threat to the building itself remains. If the husks are not stopped, then they will inflict unknown damage on the structure. The [[Roost's Reeve]], '''Haylock Blackthorn''', is responsible for dealing with this threat. If the husks are not defeated, then it is likely that the amount of mana crystals produced each season will be reduced.

Another of the largest groups – again around a dozen – has been harassing several of the fisherfolk of Westerhal, [[Kallavesa#West_Marsh|West Marsh]]. If they are not stopped, then the fisherfolk will need to withdraw inland before they are dragged into the watery depths.

The fisherfolk of Westerhal have made ready to withdraw and leave, but that would see certain damage to the fleet.
