	Murals of fighters passed are carved into the various pillars and supports that hold up the seating around the exterior of the structure in which crowds watch on going training sessions and bouts. Beneath the sand of the pit lays 'The Gibbet' where fighters prepare for their battles, ~~the name stuck after Legionnaires~~ from ~~the first~~ and ~~second legion projected their gallows humour onto~~ the ~~legacy~~ of ~~the building. Blood seeps down from~~ the arena ~~above and covers the fighters before and after battle, and is considered~~ a ~~sign~~ of ~~good luck to catch a droplet upon ones forehead~~.
