			The hotel La Scarpetta Dorata was once a beloved fixture of the theatre district, notorious for always being full of actors, musicians, and artists. Now, the old Scarpetta has been transformed by the injection of funds and white granite from ''The Socialite Network''; one of the premier unions for cicisbeo in the League. The basic shape of the building remains the same; its tall and elegant silhouette restored to its former glory. But where before it shone white with cladding over wood, it gleams with freshly carved blocks of white granite, cunningly wrought into sculptures and carvings representing important cicisbeo or scenes from famous romances. In the main courtyard stands a particularly impressive statue of '''Rosalina Gulia Viola di Sarvos''', the cicisbeo Senator of Sarvos who had been a member and patron of the Socialite Network since its inception.

			Inside, the rooms on the first two floors have been knocked through and remodelled to create a series of lecture theatres. The rest of the old hotel rooms have been transformed into classrooms, offices for resident lecturers, and private study rooms. On the top floor, what was once the honeymoon suite is now the apartment of the current headmistress. Richly decorated throughout, the Academy retains its former hotel opulence, and several of the Scarpetta suites are preserved as they were, for use in educational contexts.

			While the Academy does teach students the traditional arts of the cicisbeo - romance, companionship, sex work, and notetaking - it also covers a wide range of other subjects, ranging from dance classes and writing workshops to private bodyguarding and even an introduction to being a personal physick. As the motto of the Socialite Network goes: “''if there’s anything that can make your life more beautiful, a cicisbeo can be hired to provide it.''”

			The Academy was a collaboration with Red Raven Holdings, a building society incorporated in Caricomare that is dedicated to constructing sinecures that will benefit the Empire and its citizens.
