As one cynic points out, if the ~~Sandfishers~~ put the thirteen wains they've bought into the contest themselves then they'd be just ahead of the collected luminaries of Sarvos. The Grendel have sacked Sarvos once in recent memory - it's hard to argue that it couldn't happen again. What is needed, urgently, is a major fortification effort to secure Sarvos.
