			While the Iron Qanat was [[Construct_Iron_Qanat\|commissioned]] in Spring 382YE, work was never begun. Indeed, the fact that the Asavean Architct Almodin Ostikis was assigned to oversee the project, and he was then subsequently fired by the Senate, means that the construction could not be undertaken at all. The [[senate motion]] lapsed after the Winter Solstice 382YE in any event.

			Interest in the Iron Qanat and the Black Locks has waned; the Zemress islanders have other concerns now. The opportunities presented here have been lost.
