The First Thorn of the Vallornguard is an [[Imperial title]] appointed by the [[Vallornguard]]. Construction of Vallornguard Mustering Ground was [[Construct Vallornguard Mustering Ground|proposed]] by '''Bronimir''', as the [[Ossium|Senator for Ossium]], during the Spring Equinox 388YE, and construction was completed shortly before the Summer Solstice 388YE.

Plans for the Vallornguard Mustering Ground were first [[Every_path_you_know#Green_Eyed_Monster|presented]] before the Winter Solstice 387YE, in response to the Navarr Assembly's highest calling to support the burgeoning sodality.

==Responsibilities==
The First Thorn of the Vallornguard is responsible for overseeing the training of new recruits to the Vallornguard and contributing to Imperial preparedness against the military threat of the vallorn. Finally, if mustering ground, or its inhabitants, were to be threatened, it would be the responsibility of the First Thorn to respond to the threat.

==Appointment==
The First Thorn is appointed during the Spring Equinox each year by members of the Vallornguard.

The First Thorn will be elected for a shortened term of three seasons during the Summer Solstice 388YE.
