The only thing that seems to slow its progress down is water, ideally water infused with the power of [[Spring magic]]. The [[hakima]] of the Great Grasses are doing their best to try and understand the problem, but there is a limit to what they can achieve. They are ''very concerned'' that if it is left untouched the desert will devour not only the Great Grasses but potentially threatens the whole of Madruga.
