==Herds of Afar==
The cattle herds of Afar were never as celebrated as the [[Shepherd_of_the_Great_Herd#The_Great_Herd|great herd]] of [[Skarsind]]. Established centuries ago by canny trade with [[the Marches]] and the southern cities of [[the League]], they were carefully raised to thrive in the hot and humid weather of the south. Devastated as they were by the short-sighted actions of ''Maistir Fionnula'', to whom Governor Rahab sold the herds the right to trade cattle with the Suranni, they were struggling when the Empire reclaimed the territory.

Now, with investment from '''Garviel i Abrira i Erigo''' and others, the herds are again thriving. Afarjasse now has a booming industry in cattle, and dozens of drovers lead cattle south to trade with ''Baron de Hauteville'' and other minor houses of the Iron Confederacy.
