	~~Pallas Docks (Redoubt):~~

	These private docks are built in Cargo, not far from the Jarmish embassy. They were originally built with the aid of the Asavean architect Almodin Oktístis who was approached to design 'in keeping with Urizeni style' by Senator Kallavesa. They have been recently reworked to remove the more heretical elements, though the overall architectural style remains. The Pallas Docks take the form of a number of long piers and jetties that extend the available space at the cargo docks, along with a series of dedicated cranes for lifting the wares to the town proper. Notable features include a series of lights mounted on towers at the ends of the piers to guide ships in made to look like miniature Urizeni Spires; and a gorgeous fresco in the main warehouse.

	The fresco depicts Urizen mages in their spires watching the arrival of the first Highborn ships. The bright colours hint at the Asavean Architect’s influence, but the scene is otherwise benign. Almost directly above the docks, in the town proper, is a small enclave for use by the visiting P?rnau Principality merchants. The architecture here is superficially Urizen, but with many Asavean flourishes and nods (large amounts of blue and turquoise tiling, for example). It consists of two residential buildings, one of which includes a small office, and two large warehouses for storing the weirwood prior to its transfer to the civil service (who issue the Architect with bourse paperwork as normal).



	The docks are for the exclusive use of merchants and traders dispatched by the Magician-Prince of P?rnau Principality (in Eastern Jarm), who bring regular shipments of incredibly valuable weirwood from the distant nation. Stories are already circulating of a deal secured between Lord-Magister Anton Trescher (the main advisor to the Jarmish Princes on trade and Imperial matters) and the Grendel to leave these ships and their valuable cargo alone - yet it must also be noted that the merchant vessels invariably arrive with an escort of sleek, Jarmish warships.

	~~Runeforge (Redoubt):~~

	The runeforge stands on the road between Cargo in Redoubt and Hedra in Necropolis. It is a circular building of white granite and weirwood, with extensive fittings of fine mithril. There is a small hostelry attached, with apartments for the Seer of the Spiral Sword and the skilled artisans who help staff the runeforge. It is built in the Urizeni style; a tall six-sided tower, the top of which is decorated with six symbols representing each realm of magic.



	A third building houses an extensive library, a fine marble structure of graceful unadorned columns and a gorgeous mosaic floor. Where once there was an idolatrous design of an Asavean deity, now the mosaic depicts the night sky of the Winter solstice in tempest jade, iridescent gloaming highlighting the full moon and constellations that flicker in the light.



	There are only two entrances to the runeforge proper; each is cunningly positioned so as to be aligned with the rising or setting sun of the Summer solstice. Each door is flanked by two stone figures in Urizen robes. On the East door are two Merrow: one holding fire in cupped hands, the other tools of measurement. To the West stand more martial statues – a leonine Changeling Sentinel carrying a spear, and a woman holding an intricately carved sword with the symbol of the labyrinth on the hilt, held out in offering.



	The centrepiece of the runeforge is a solid stone of white granite inlaid with a mithril design depicting the constellation of the Phoenix. The forgestone stands beneath a crystalline dome decorated with the twenty-seven runes. Each rune is depicted as borne by carved, stylised people. In each cardinal direction the builders of the forge are honoured - two Urizen cambions, a Marcher, and a Highborn holding aloft Pallas, Lann, Xun and Feresh respectively. Subtle details indicate several notable historical and modern figures, including two orcs – one meditating on Aesh, the other holding Naeve like a sword. During the day, natural light streams in through the dome while at night the central hall is lit by dozens of cunningly positioned lightstones.

	~~Lorenzo's Legacy of Loyalty (Temeschwar):~~
	The stelae of the Legacy of Loyalty each consist of a squat plinth perhaps four feet high, adorned with rings. Inscriptions around the base emphasize Vigilance and Wisdom as well as Loyalty. They are topped with crossed cleavers, and each set of blades surmounts a sphere of polished golden ambergelt carefully inscribed with a design of three drops of blood. The central stone - in this case built in the old meat-market that lies outside the Butcher's Guild offices in Temeschwar - is significantly different from those used in the previous two works. It is twelve feet tall, consisting of a four-foot plinth surmounted by an eight-foot-tall statue of a figure in traditional Temeschwari clothes. In one of its hands the statue holds a butcher's cleaver, and in the other it holds a string of sausages. The very base of the statue is inscribed with the words “The Virtuous build up their fellows; they do not tear them down”.

	~~Lorenzo's Legacy of Ambition (Tassato)~~

	The stelae of the Legacy of Ambition are similar to those in Temeschwar, but adorned with torches and flames, and the inscriptions around the base emphasise the virtues of Prosperity, Pride, Wisdom and Ambition. The central stone - placed in the courtyard of the Imperial Mint in Tassato - is carved in the image of two figures, back to back. Both statues point to the sky with a proudly extended index finger as if they are about to make a great speech.


	The first statue, his gaze fixed towards Casinea, is Aldones di Sarvos, holding a cleaver in one hand. His head is haloed in mithril, studded with pieces of precisely carved lightstone that glow at all times. At his waist he has an ornately carved bottle and a telescope, highlighting his past life as Atuman the Navigator.


	The second statue faces the Imperial Mint, and is Avigliana di Sarvos, founder of that institution. In one hand she holds a weighing scale, with a cleaver on one side of the the scale, and several mithril coins in the other. Before her is a lectern, with a mithril book - the Epistemologicon - atop it, surrounded by shards of lightstone.

	~~Lorenzo's Legacy of Vigilance (Hahnmark):~~

	Spread across the entire territory of Hahnmark are a number of red stone stelae, adorned with images of towers and bells, and with their bases engraved with phrases celebrating Wisdom, Courage, and Vigilance. Each squat monolith is topped a stylised beacon carved from alloys of weltsilver, marked by Ophis and framed by a pair of mithril cleavers. A central stone, the keystone for the entire great work, stands prominently in the heart of the newly built market town of New Dunhall.

	The keystone is topped with a great statue of a tall lithe Steinr with a plaited full beard and wild mane of hair. Upon his left shoulder sits a golden eagle, tensed and wings outstretched, as if to take flight.

	~~The figure wears a traditional tunic and legwraps, heavy but intricate metal jewelry, a grand torc, finger and arm-rings.~~

	In his left hand he holds a long spear, planted on the ground next to 2 large iron balls. In his right hand he leans on a tall daneaxe inlaid heavily by skilled runesmiths.The axe’s butt is clasped in an eagle’s claw. On his belt hang a small horn spoon and a large wooden tankard. He looks north over the town and slightly upwards as if gazing at the stars above the horizon.

	~~Lorenzo's Great Game (Temeschwar):~~

	The Great Game is a sprawling structure on the outskirts of Temeschwar, built at the side of the Blood Red Road. A circular arcade of white granite and marble consists of an open central space. An enormous fountain, lit by bright glowstones beneath the water, has a constant display of dancing streams that seem to shimmer as they leap joyously into the air.

	In addition to gaming houses and places of refreshment, there are a number of hostelries built as part of the Great Game offering a variety of different experiences to those who wish to take lodgings near to the largest casino in Temeschwar - if not the entire northern Empire. Each building is named for one of Lorenzo’s other Great Works and has a smaller-scale marble replica outside. They include a much smaller (but still large) replica of the Colossus of Sarvos, each of Lorenzo’s Legacies of Virtue, and even the Bloody Great Sausage. All are lit by glowstones so bright that the marble itself seems to glow.

	The most plush establishment is the Guild of Good Games' own gaming chambers called 'The Drogon' to commemorate Lorenzo La Volpe's friend Prince Drogon Morosini, former Senator of Temeschwar, who died in battle in Spring 382YE. Mysterious masked figures wearing the black and red livery of The Crimson Reapers and The Butchers Guild attentively serve their guests' every need, whether as waiters, croupiers, guards or cicisbeos.

	The whole area is a love-story to Lorenzo’s history of construction. The weight of Pride that Temeschwar feels in its most prosperous resident oozes out of every edifice. In addition, statues of handsome people abound, representing those Temeschwari citizens that have made their mark on the Empire. At the entrance to the arcade stands a laughing statue of former Senators Oksana Kazaku, Gant Arachma, and Drogon Morosini in a friendly embrace. They smile at a statue of Giuseppe Sanguineo, and a space next to him invites the next senator of Temeschwar to make their mark here.

They include a much smaller (but still large) replica of the Colossus of Sarvos, each of Lorenzo’s Legacies of Virtue, and even the Bloody Great Sausage. All are lit by glowstones so bright that the marble itself seems to glow.

			The most plush establishment is the Guild of Good Games' own gaming chambers called 'The Drogon' to commemorate Lorenzo La Volpe's friend Prince Drogon Morosini, former Senator of Temeschwar, who died in battle in Spring 382YE. Mysterious masked figures wearing the black and red livery of The Crimson Reapers and The Butchers Guild attentively serve their guests' every need, whether as waiters, croupiers, guards or cicisbeos.

			The whole area is a love-story to Lorenzo’s history of construction. The weight of Pride that Temeschwar feels in its most prosperous resident oozes out of every edifice. In addition, statues of handsome people abound, representing those Temeschwari citizens that have made their mark on the Empire. At the entrance to the arcade stands a laughing statue of former Senators Oksana Kazaku, Gant Arachma, and Drogon Morosini in a friendly embrace. They smile at a statue of Giuseppe Sanguineo, and a space next to him invites the next senator of Temeschwar to make their mark here.
