			We have two big battles each weekend, and taking part is completely optional - around half of our players do so each event. However, if you do take the field for a battle as your character, then you must volunteer to monster the other battle. We can't create a really dramatic battle with hundreds of participants unless everyone who plays a battle also monsters the other one.

			We're really pleased that most of our nations managed to achieve more than 100% monstering rates. That means that more people turned up to the monster than turned up to play the battle from that nation. Top of the pile was Urizen with 111% - that's an incredibly good rate and demonstrates a fantastic level of support for everyone who plays Empire!

			Sadly, three of the nations were significantly below 100%, which is disappointing. Failing to monster the battle if you've played the other battle is against the rules because it's not fair to the other participants who take the field, all of whom volunteered to monster for you when you were playing. We hope that players in Wintermark, Dawn and the Marches will encourage each other to follow the rules, support their fellow players and turn up to monster when it's their turn.
