Mistress of Ceremonies

Overview

The Mistress of Ceremonies is a League title created by the senate following a motion by Kaspar Yakovich von Holberg in his position as Senator for Holberg during the Summer Solstice 386YE.

Responsibilities

The Mistress of Ceremonies is responsible for coordinating the guilds and groups of the League to ensure cohesive participation in the pageantry of the nation's festivals and any other celebrations or ceremonies that require a response from the nation as a whole.

Powers

The Mistress of Ceremonies has no legal powers. It is possible that they could be assigned a stipend from the Imperial Treasury, or an office could be built in one of the League cities - though that comes with the risk of potential bias.

Appointment

The Mistress of Ceremonies is a national position which is appointed by judgement of the League assembly.

The Mistress is appointed during the Autumn Equinox each year. They can be revoked by the General Assembly, the League Assembly, and the Assembly of the Nine.
