Justicar of Osseini
Overview
The Justicar of Osseini was an Imperial title created by the Senate in Spring 384YE. The Justicar oversaw the Sanctuary of the Justicars on the Isle of the Osseini in Feroz which was home to a small community of Freeborn priests with a focus on exorcism and dealing with the unquiet dead. The Sanctuary was destroyed by Asavean warships during the Spring Equinox 385YE
Responsibilities
The Justicar was responsible for dealing with the unquiet dead and ghosts in the Brass Coast, although the Freeborn are rarely troubled by such spirits.
Powers
The Justicar was able to purchase a variety of magic items and potions from the priests who worked at the Sanctuary with a focus on those that assist with the rite of exorcism. The Justicar spent their money and made their choices during downtime from their character page. Money was removed from, and resources were placed into, the character's inventory when the downtime was processed.
Appointment
This title was appointed during the Summer Solstice. The Justicar was appointed by a judgement of Appointment in the Freeborn National assembly.
Any Freeborn citizen was able to hold the title. They could have been revoked by the General Assembly, the Freeborn Assembly, and the Assembly of the Nine.
